A student was killed and another sustained injuries in a clash with an employee of the Hazara University on Wednesday. Shinkiari Police said the university employee, Chand and two students, Suleman and Sajjad quarrelled during snooker game outside the university.

Popular comedian and Pashto drama artist Fazal Rahman alias Seelai has passed away due to cardiac arrest in Kanju area of district Swat on Thursday, his family members said. His funeral prayer was offered in Shaheed Baba area and was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard in Kanju. Fazal Rahman performed in a large number of Pashto CD and TV dramas. He was popular for his humorous performance all over the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and other areas where Pashto is being understood.
A mob killed a student of journalism department of the Abdul Wali Khan University, Madan on charges of posting sacrilegious contents online, police said here on Thursday. According to police, the student killed by the mob is identified as Mashal Khan, a resident of Zaida village in Swabi. Following the incident, the university has been shut down by the administration for an indefinite period. Assistant Registrar Ashoor Khan issued a notification stating the university will remain close until further notice.
