CHITRAL, 14 October: The Chitral Scouts, a paramilitary force, won the Annual Polo Tournament here on Tuesday.

In the final match, Chitral scouts defeated the Chitral Levies force by 5-3 goals. A large number of spectators had come to the ground to watch the final match. At the end of the match the players of the two teams danced to drum beat.

Thirty-five polo teams participated in the event, which was organized by the Tourism Corporation of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Chief Guest, Commandant Chitral Scouts Col Nizam Uddin, distributed trophies and awards among the winning and runner-up teams and appreciated the best players.

Havaldar Mairaj of Chitral Scouts was given man of the match trophy while Mr Alhaj of Levies Force received the best Horse trophy.
