KHAR: Former member of National Assembly and leader of Pakistan People’s Party Akhunzada Chittan narrowly escaped a bomb blast here today.

The political administration said the former MNA was on his way back to Khar, the headquarters of the Bajaur Agency, after attending a ceremony in Mandal area of the tribal agency. When his vehicle reached near the Manogi area a bomb planted on the roadside went off, said an official of the political administration.

Akhonzada Chittan remained unhurt while vehicle of his brother Bakhtzada was damaged. Security forces cordoned off the area and arrested 23 suspected people from the area.
