PESHAWAR, 10 December: The weeklong annual colorful exhibition of Chrysanthemum (Gul-e-Dawoodi) began here at the sprawling lawn of historic Islamia College Peshawar on Saturday.

Former governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Muhammad Jan Orakzai and former caretaker chief minister Engineer Shamsul Mulk inaugurated the exhibition.

According to the organizers, about 90 different varieties of Gul-e-Dawoodi had been put on display in the exhibition.

People in large number including women, children and students are coming to the exhibition and expressing their happiness by taking selfies and recording videos with their cell phones.

The stalls of Chrysanthemum have been masterly arranged by gardeners of the Islamia College Peshawar which has further increased the beauty of the historic institution.

The visitors said they loved the exhibition. They said flowers had mesmerizing effect on their souls and minds and that was why they visit the annual exhibition on regular basis.
