PESHAWAR, 27 May: Experts at a seminar on environment observed that population growth, factories’ waste and vehicles’ smoke are the major contributors in climate change in our country.

“Due the global climate change winter season shrinks by one day every year. If this continues with the same pace, there would be no winter season in coming 80 years,” they said while addressing the seminar. Prominent among the participants were Pakistan Metrology Department chief Muhammad Hanif, environment experts and students.

They urged the people to avoid wasting water and focus on afforestation, because the average loss of rain-related disaster is much higher than other countries of the world.
