CHITRAL, 24 July: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervaiz Khattak has announced to launch Rescue 1122 service in Chitral.

The chief minister made this announcement during his visit to the flood-hit Chitral on Thursday. Mr Khattak also visited flood affected areas of Chital. The Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan and other cabinet ministers also accompanied the chief minister.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Mr Khattak said funds have been issued to all the provincial government departments for launching rehabilitation work in Chitral at the earliest and restore its links with rest of the country.

Imran Khan said on the occasion that all facilities will be provided to the people of Chitral and a university will also be established in the area.

About 300,000 people had been affected and a number of bridges and roads damaged due to floods in Chitral.
