PESHAWAR, 31 July: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak has approved the extension of Sehat Insaf Card to all employees of public and autonomous bodies and lawyers, journalists and artists.
The decision was taken during a meeting of health officials about extension of Sehat Insaf Card. Chief Minister Pervez Khattak chaired the meeting.
The Chief Minister was also briefed that Information Department had requested for the journalists, Advocate General for the lawyers, culture department for the artists and social welfare department for transvestite for extension of Sehat Insaf Card.
CM Khattak directed to give option to the government employees, journalists, lawyers and all others as per request by different departments. He approved the requests and said that all those and the concerned developments requested for the facility would have to pay premium opting for the facility of Sehat Insaf Card as the present facility was only for the poor.
The statement said that all the concerned departments would be notified soon in this regard. Moreover, advertisements would also be published in newspapers about the extended Sehat Insaf card program.
The meeting was briefed that Sehat Insaf Card facility would be extended from 1.7 million to 2.4 million families of the province. The extension would enhance healthcare cover to 69% which was previously available to 51% of the total population.
