Caretaker govt reviews electioons security

PESHAWAR: Caretaker Chief Minister Justice (R) Dost Muhammad Khan has vowed to provide level playing field to all political parties to continue election campaign.

The chief minister said this while talking to media after attending a meeting of political leaders from the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) Ayesha Gulalai and others in Peshawar on Saturday.

Dost Muhammad said the mandate of the caretaker government was to conduct free, fair, transparent and imperial election, adding that all resources and energies will be utilised for this purpose. He said transparent election was a big challenge, which will be accomplished with collective efforts.

The chief minister asked all the parties to abide by the code of conduct of the Election Commissioner of Pakistan (ECP).
