PESHAWAR, November 8: The naat khwani, qirat and declamation competitions were held at the P.E.F Postgraduate College in Peshawar.

About 25 male and as many female students from various colleges participated in the events.

Mr Muhammad Faiq from Peshawar Model Degree College took first position in the naat competition. The student from P.E.F College, Mr Salman Ahmed, stood first in qirat competition. However, Mr Abeer won the English debates competition while Ms Nayab took first position in the Urdu debates.

Shaukat Yousafzai, member of provincial assembly (MPA), awarded prizes and 5,000 rupees each to the position holders.

Ms Nayab, the winner of Urdu debates, told TNN that she was much happy to win the competition.

“I am feeling proud that I got the trophy on the stage of P.E.F College once again for securing first position. This is the 28th time that I stand first in such kind of competitions,” she said.
