QUETTA, 17 October: A computer laboratory has been inaugurated in Quetta District Jail with the cooperation of National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA).

Forty-five prisoners will be able to use the laboratory in a single time. Senior legal adviser of the Federal Ombudsman Hafiz Ehsan Ahmed Khokhar said at a press conference after inauguration of the lab that education facilities will be provided to prisoners in Quetta and Mach jails in Balochistan. He said steps will also be taken for education and technical training of juvenile prisoners to enable them to become good citizens after completing their imprisonment.

Mr Khokhar said separate computer classes will also be initiated for women and juvenile prisoners.
