PESHAWAR, 29 May: A conference on trends of violence among the youth was organised in Jalalabad city of Afghanistan yesterday.
A large number of youth participated in the conference organised by the Liaison Office. The Liaison Office Coordinator Muhammad Nabi Tadbir told media persons on the occasion that illiteracy, unemployment and other such factors are responsible for increasing trend of violence among the youth.
The moot discussed ways and means to promote the feelings of non-violence among the youth. Youth from Nangarhar, Herat, Khost, Mazar Sharif and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa attended the event.
Zabeehullah Ihsas, a participant of the moot, said militants take advantage of the grievances of the youth due to illiteracy and unemployment and lure them for violent activities.
