CHITRAL, 16 December: The girls students of Chonech area of Chitral are compelled to attend their classes with boys due to lack of a separate girls high school in the area.

Girls students of Government High School Chonech told TNN that they are facing a lot of difficulties due to presence of boys in the school. They said they cannot even play games in presence of boys. They said there is no boundary wall, clean drinking water facility or electricity in the schools due to which they are facing many difficulties.

They demanded the government to construct a separate school and college for girls in the area.

A girl student said there is no clean drinking water facility in the school. “Clean drinking water is not available in the school and we bring it from other places. We cannot play or even talk in presence of boys in our classes,” she said.

Another student said no problem of the school has been resolved. “We demand the chief minister to resolve our problems so that we could get our education in a good environment,” she said.

Currently over 200 students, including over a hundred girls, are getting education in the school.
