MARDAN, 6 October: The ground breaking ceremony of a bridge on Bhai Khan Khwar in Karyala area of Mardan was performed on Thursday.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Education Atif Khan inaugurated construction work on the bridge which will be constructed at a cost of Rs30 million. The minister said on the occasion that construction of the bridge was a long standing demand of the area people. He said the construction of the bridge will benefit the local people in their travelling and save their precious time.
The minister also announced a grant of Rs70 million for establishment of a higher secondary school and Rs27 million for pavement of streets in Karyala. Mr Atif said the provincial government has approved Rs120 million for providing facilities at Rural Health Centre Karyala and tender in this regard has also been released.
