PESHAWAR, 29 May: The convocation of the institutions affiliated with Khyber Medical University was organised yesterday.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan was the chief guest at the convocation of Khyber Girls Medical College yesterday. He distributed degrees among 520 students including 54 M.Phil, 215 MBBS, 134 Nursing, 72 Public Health and 35 graduates of Doctor of Physical Therapy.

On the occasion the governor awarded gold medals to students who topped their respective classes. Dr Khush Bakht received 15, Dr Syed Hashim Ali got 10 and Dr Laila Shinwari got nine medals. The medals winning students expressed jubilation over their achievement.

“I am very happy over winning medals. A dream has come true for me. I have got reward for my hard work,” a female medical graduate told TNN.

“I got encouragement for future challenges. It is my aim to work for the welfare of masses and serve them,” another medical graduate said.
