PESHAWAR, 12 December: A deputy superintendent of police (DSP) of Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Charsadda was injured in firing by unknown miscreants on Friday.

Police said DSP Jehanzada Khan was travelling to his office from home when unidentified armed men on a motorcycle opened fire on him in Faqirabad area. He was taken to Lady Reading Hospital for treatment. Police cordoned off the area after the attack but the attackers managed to flee the scene. Jehanzada Khan is head of CTD in Charsadda.
