NOWSHERA: Civil Judge-Cum Judicial Magistrate Nowshera Wali Muhammad Mohmand Tuesday rejected the plea of the Rawalpindi police to exhume body of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) Maulana Samiul Haq for conducting autopsy.
Maulana Samiul Haq’s son and acting ameer of the JUI-S Maulana Hamidul Haq appeared in the court and presented an eight-page Fatwa (edict) of Ulema terming the exhumation and autopsy as un-Islamic. A number of lawyers were also accompanying Maulana Hamidul Haq.

Hamidul Haq had earlier told media that family of late Maulana Samiul Haq after consultation with religious leaders and JUI-S leaders has reached consensus that exhumation will never be allowed. He said the murder of the JUI-S chief was an international conspiracy and it should be probed as such. He said it is the right of his family to have final say about autopsy.
Maulana Samiul Haq was killed in Rawalpindi in his house on November 2 by unknown people. No major breakthrough has been made so far in the murder investigation.
