PESHAWAR: Former captain Pakistan Cricket Team Mushtaq Ahmad called for exploring talent in seminaries throughout the country.

Ahmad urged seminaries’ students to participate in extra-curricular activities so that they could play their role on international level for their motherland.

Talking to reporters here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium Peshawar, he said that sports can promote peace and love in the country. He lauds role of Zalmi Foundation and its chief executive Javed Afridi in promotion of cricket, he said the foundation’s efforts will have positive effects in the long run.

“Prime Minister Imran Khan also wants to madrassas students and has been taking steps for provide them equal opportunities,” said Ahmad.

He said Pakistan Cricket Board could find stars in these seminaries with a little hard work to polish their skills. “They can play a positive role in every field of life if given equal chances,” former captain said.
