PESHAWAR, 26 April: The death toll in yesterday’s strong earthquake in Nepal has surpassed 1,800.
According to data issued by the Nepalese Interior Ministry, more than 4,500 people have sustained injuries in the earthquake. Rescue and relief activities are underway in the affected areas and it is feared that the death toll may increase further.
Pakistan has also decided to send relief goods for the people affected by earthquake in Nepal.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said four C-130 aircraft will take relief goods to Nepal today. It said the relief package includes a 30-bed hospital, medical teams and special search and relief equipment.
