MARDAN, 21 October: A debate competition was organised at Government High School Parhoti under the aegis of Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) on Tuesday.
TNN correspondent said students from 10 schools of Mardan took part in the competition. Maazullah of Government High School No3 got first position in the competition, Muhammad Yasir of Government High School Parhoti Landa got second position and Mohibullah got third position.
HRCP Coordinator Shahidullah Khan said on the occasion that co-curricular activities are essential along with studies for bright future of students.
Principal of Parhoti School Saeed Bacha told TNN on the occasion that it was a very encouraging competition. “Such debate competitions should be arranged regularly in areas where there is low literacy rate. It will increase and polish the capabilities of the students,” he said.
