DI KHAN: Dera Ismail Khan Police claimed to have taken elaborate security arrangements for the Muharramul Haram and asked peace committees to cooperate with police.
District Police Officer Zahoor Afridi convened a meeting of peace committees and urged them to play their role in maintenance of peace and tranquility.
The district police chief asked them to avoid hate speeches and hateful wall chalking during the sacred month. Committees’ members including Akhtar Ali Chaudhry, Jamil Ahmad, Haji Allah Bakhsh and others assured the police that they would play their due role to maintain law and order and would cooperate with police.
Besides, the police have also finalised comprehensive security arrangements for mourning processions and religious gatherings during the month.
The DPO directed all wings of the police to ensure complete coordination for success of this plan.
