PARACHINAR, 3 October: The secretary general of the Kurram Agency Union for Disabled People Muhammad Anwar Shah has called on the government to provide basic rights and artificial organs to the disabled people.

Anwar Shah said more than a thousand people are disabled in Kurram Agency but no one is prepared to give them their basic rights. He said the quota allotted to the disabled people in the government jobs has not been implemented in letter and spirit due to which they are facing many difficulties. He demanded the political administration to arrange special scholarships for the disabled people.

“We are demanding rights for our disabled brothers. Even Master’s degree holder disabled people are without jobs and struggling to make ends meet,” Mr Anwar told TNN. He demanded the government to provide jobs to educated disabled people and free of cost education to their children.
