FATA-IDPs-Receive-Aid

JAMRUD, May 30: The internally displaced persons of Kokikhel tribe from Tirah valley of Khyber Agency say the quantity of food provided to them at the Jalozai Camp has been reduced, causing a host of problems to them.

The displaced tribesmen told TNN that they were living in Jamrud tehsil with their relatives and that they were in trouble now.

One of the IDPs said, “When I went to Jalozai for food items, they gave me half of the quantity that we used to get previously, while they did not give us tea and sugar. This amount does not cater for our needs.”

On the other hand the assistant political agent of Jamrud, Mr Roshan Mehsud, told TNN that the food was provided to the IDPs by the World Food Programme. “We have taken up this issue with the WFP authorities and hopefully this problem would be solved soon.”
