KHAR: The distribution of Sehat Insaf Cards has started again in Bajaur tribal district.
District Supervisor Ismail Khan said in a statement that all the people of Bajaur have been informed that the distribution of Sehat Insaf Cards has started again. He said all the citizens must contact the respective centres for receiving their cards.
The statement said the people of Khar, Utmankhel, Nawagai and Chamarkand tehsils must receive their cards from Dubai Hospital Khar. He said the people of Loe Mamond and Wara Mamond tehsils must receive their cards from the center in Inayat Killi. The people of Salarzai and Mandal will receive their cards from the center established Salarzai, while the citizens of Barag tehsil must get their cards from Memola Hospital in Barang.
The district supervisor said 24,000 new Sehat Insaf Cards have arrived in Bajaur. He asked the citizens to cooperate and receive their cards from their respective centers.
The announcement about the new phase of Insaf Cards distribution in Bajaur has been made a day after initiation of cards distribution in North Waziristan tribal district.
A function was organized at District Headquarters Hospital Miranshah on Thursday where ADC Manzoor Afridi inaugurated the Insaf Cards distribution program and distributed Insaf Cards among many people.
Focal Person of Sehat Insaf Cards Project Tajammul Hussain Khattak said the people of North Waziristan must receive their Sehat Insaf Cards from centers established in Miranshah, Dosali, Boya, Mir Ali and Shewa tehsils.
On February 04, Prime Minister Imran Khan had inaugurated Sehat Insaf Cards program for tribal districts at a function in Islamabad. Under this scheme, a beneficiary can get medical treatment upto Rs720,000. Cards have been distributed Khyber, Kurram, Bajaur, Mohmand and Orakzai tribal districts after the announcement by the prime minister.
The government has said that about 1.1 million families in tribal districts will benefit from the scheme. The card holders will be entitled to free of cost medical treatment in 110 hospitals of the country.
Dr Riaz Tanoli, Program Director of Sehat Insaf Program, for tribal districts, said as many as 1,011,510 Sehat Insaf Cards will be distributed among the tribal families.
In a recent interview with TNN, Riaz Tanoli said those receiving the cards are also getting medical treatment. He said the hospitals of tribal districts are currently not providing treatment under Insaf Cards, but the hospitals in KP are providing treatment to beneficiaries.
“Every head of family, who has permanent address of tribal districts on his identity card, will get the Insaf Card. Those who don’t want to get the card is another issue, but as far as the government is concerned, it has printed cards for the whole population,” he said.
The program manager clarified that there is no cash involved in this scheme.
