PESHAWAR, 10 July: Metrology Department has predicted downpour in Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Hazara divisions in the next 48 hours.

The Met Office added that the heavy rain may cause flooding in these areas. In this connection, alerts have been issued to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) to take necessary measures to cope with any emergency.

The PDMA said that besides Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan and Hazara divisions, rains may cause flood in Kabul River at Warsak and Nowshera. The PDMA has issued instructions to the deputy commissioners concerned to make arrangements for rescue and relief. The Met Office has also forecast rain in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Federally-Administered Tribal Areas.
