PESHAWAR, 07 December: A 7.2 magnitude earthquake on Monday afternoon jolted different parts of Pakistan including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan and federal capital Islamabad. However, no loss to life or property was reported.
According to US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was in Tajikistan.
An official of Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said tremors were felt in Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Mingora and other areas of the province. The official said they are in touch with the district administrations for reports about damages but said no losses have been reported so far.
More than 300 people were killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Fata in the October 26 earthquake.
