PESHAWAR, 27 May: The Election Commission (EC) has completed the process of printing of 70.2 million ballot papers for the local government (LG) elections to be held on Saturday.
According to the Election Commission, the total number of the voters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is 10 million. The ballot papers would be handed over to the presiding officers on Friday who will join duties at their polling stations concerned the same day.
More than 84,000 contestants are in the run for a total of 40,762 seats across the province. The polling would start at 800 hours which will continue till 1700 hours. Every voter would cast seven votes. White ballot papers would be used for general seats, pink for women seats, green for peasant seats, yellow for youth seats, brown for minority seats, orange for district councillors and grey for tehsil councillor seats.
