PESHAWAR, 17 October: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has sent a notice to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Minister Shah Farman over violation of election code of conduct in NA-4 constituency of Peshawar.

Shah Farman has been issued notice over charges of participation in the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) membership campaign in Badhber which falls in NA-4 constituency. He is also facing charges of using official resources in the constituency where a by-election will be held on 26 October. The notice has been issued on the complaint of the Awami National Party (ANP) and reply has been sought from the provincial minister within two days.

NA-4 seat fell vacant after the death of the PTI renegade MNA Gulzar Khan.
