
PESHAWAR, 21 November: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Sardar Mehtab Ahmed Khan said on Friday that educational activities will begin at FATA University in 2016.
Addressing a meeting regarding establishment of FATA University at the Governor House, the governor directed that appointments of vice chancellor and project director of the university should be made by next month. The facilities of modern laboratories and libraries will also be provided at the university.
Mr Mehtab said the tribal people are patriotic and the government has fulfilled its promise of establishing a full-fledged university for them. He said the federal government will bear all the expenses of the university. He said the youth of FATA are very talented and the establishment of university in the tribal areas will promote higher education.
The meeting approved the design of the university to be established at 500-kanal area of Akhurwal, Frontier Region (FR) Kohat.
