QUETTA, 29 June: Balochistan government has geared up its efforts to persuade Khan of Kalat Mir Suleman Dawood Jan to return home.

Media reported that Prince Mohyuddin Baloch, a son of the last ruler of princely Kalat state Mir Ahmed Yar Khan, confirmed that the Khan of Kalat has agreed to meet a delegation of the Balochistan government.

However, he made it clear that Khan of Kalat would talk to Baloch Grand Jirga before talking to the official delegation. Prince Mohyuddin is in London for the last few weeks to persuade Khan of Kalat to return home. He was requested by Balochistan Chief Minister Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch and some pro-government tribal elders to convince Khan of Kalat to stage a comeback to his home-province and play role in restoring peace in Balochistan.

Mir Suleman Dawood went into self-exile after Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in a military operation in August 2006.
