PESHAWAR, 13 November: England defeated Pakistan by 95 runs in the second one-day international match of the four-match series in Abu Dhabi on Friday.
England decided to bat first after winning the toss and scored 283 runs for the loss of five wickets. Alex Hales made 109 runs for England, while Joe Root scored 63. Wahab Riaz got three wickets, while Muhammad Irfan and Iftikhar Ahmed got one wicket each.
Pakistan while chasing the target lost all their wickets on 188 in 46th over. Sarfaraz Ahmed was top scorer for Pakistan with 64 runs. Moeen Ali got three wickets and Woakes and Topley got two wickets each. Alex Hales was declared man of the match for his brilliant century.
The third match of the series will be played in Sharjah on 17 November.
