PESHAWAR, 3 October: The Pakistan government has banned the entry of Afghan nationals into Pakistan via Torkham border without an entry pass from 10 October.

A National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) centre has been established at the Pak-Afghan Torkham border for this purpose where those intending to enter Pakistan will get forms for entry pass. About 450 forms have been given so far at the NADRA centre. The Afghan nationals intending to enter Pakistan will also require sponsorship from a Pakistani citizen.

The naib tehsildar of Landikotal and passport officer of Torkham will give final approval to the entry passes.
