PESHAWAR, 15 November: The Motorway administration has banned the entry of trailers and trucks bringing back the participants of Tableeghi Ijtima (congregation) from Raiwind, Lahore.
The Motorway administration said the decision has been taken to avoid rush on the road. It has also directed the general public to avoid unnecessary travel on Lahore-Islamabad Motorway today (Sunday) on the occasion of the concluding day of Tableeghi Ijtima. A spokesman for the Motorway police said about 25,000 vehicles are expected to enter the Motorway simultaneously at the end of the Ijtima which may create huge rush.
The administration also requested the people coming back from the Ijtima to avoid unnecessary rush at the Motorway and cooperate with police.
