CHARSADDA: The administration of the Bacha Khan University Charsadda has banned the entry of unregistered vehicles and motorcycles in the university campus.

According to a notification issued by the university administration, registration of cars from the Motor Car Registration Authority will be mandatory for entry in the university. The notification said the entry of vehicles without number plates has also been banned.

The notification said special stickers will be pasted on the vehicles of the students and faculty members for identification purpose. Those driving the vehicles inside the university will be required to have driving licenses, while helmets will be mandatory for motorbike riders. The notification further said those violating the orders will not be allowed to enter the university premises.

Sources said the university administration issued these orders after incidents of motorcycle theft in the university. Two motorcycles have been stolen from the university premises this year.
