PESHAWAR, 24 July: The prerequisite entrance test for admission in the government and private medical colleges affiliated with the Khyber Medical University, the lone medical university in the province, was held simultaneously in four different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Sunday.

The entry test, conducted by the Educational, Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA) was attended by 27,571 candidates for as many as 2000 seats in different medical colleges of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Five centers in four different cities including Peshawar, Swat, Abbotabad and DI Khan were established for the test.

The highlight of the day was the appearance of an Afghan national who was brought to the test center at Islamia Collegate School while his hands were cuffed.

According to police sources, the applicant Safiullah was arrested by police and sent to jail by a local court for illegally staying in Pakistan without having valid documents.
