PESHAWAR, 22 October: Pakistan has handed over evidences of Indian involvement in terror activities in Pakistan to the United States.
According to official sources, the evidences were handed over to US Secretary of State John Kerry in his meeting with Pakistani delegation led by Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in Washington on Wednesday. Adviser to the PM on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz handed over three separate dossiers to Mr Kerry about Indian involvement in subversive acts in FATA, Balochistan and Karachi.
On the occasion, the prime minister informed Mr Kerry about Pakistan’s proposals for bringing durable peace in the region. He said operation Zarb-e-Azb is continuing successfully due to which terror incidents have reduced in the region. He said Pakistan wants peace in Afghanistan and is ready to play role for this purpose.
The US secretary of state appreciated Pakistan’s efforts for peace in the region. He assured that the US will cooperate with Pakistan in overcoming its economic challenges and energy crisis. Mr Kerry also lauded success in operation Zarb-e-Azb and Mr Sharif’s commitment in bringing peace to the region.
