SWAT, 5 July: A daylong exhibition of women’s hand made products was organised in Swat by Khwendo Kor and Danish in Swat on Thursday.

Women from different districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa put their hand made products on display at the exhibition. The event sponsored by Swat Women Business Development Centre provided platform to women to display embroidery, jewellery, shawls and other items at different stalls. The visitors took keen interest in the stalls.

Yasmeen, a woman from Bannu who set up a stall at the exhibition, told TNN that it was a very useful event for women.

“We have put our products on display at this exhibition. The sale of these items will bring profit for us. We also got opportunity to see products of other places and choice of people of that areas,” she said.

Saima Amjid, a representative of Khwendo Kor, said the purpose of the exhibition was to encourage the women and show their work to the people. She said this kind of events will encourage more women to come forward and show their skills.
