PESHAWAR: Chief of Tribal Grand Jirga Malik Khan Marjan said that Fata was the fifth unit of Pakistan that was kept deliberately under-developed and deprived of its due share for last 70 years.
Speaking a press Conference here at Peshawar Press Club, he said that Fata was abused and misused its shares. He said that at a time when government was being asked to introduce Fata Reforms, some failed politicians of settled area were trying it make it controversial to deprive the tribal people of their separate identity.
He appealed President of Pakistan, army chief and Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi to find out a proper solution and warned them against imposing its decision on tribal people without their consent. He said the government should sit with them to find a proper solution to the issue.
He said that the government consider it its insult to sit and take tribal people into confidence over the reforms and said that their patriotism should not be considered their weakness, adding that they would not accept any decision of the government.
He criticised the Fata parliamentarians and said that they wanted to deprive the tribal people of their separate identity, urging the tribal people to forge unity in their ranks and failed their designs.
