GHALANAI, 26 May: Promising karate player from the Mohmand tribal agency Saifullah Mohmand has feared he might miss the upcoming Asian karate championship due to lack of financial resources.

Addressing a news conference in Mohmand press club here on Thursday, Saifullah said he was selected in the national team for the Asian karate championship after he won the All-Pakistan Kyokushin tournament while representing Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

He said the event was organized by Pakistan full contact karate federation which is a private entity. He said the federation has told him that he has to manage his own resources while participating in the Asian championship.

“I have no means to arrange Rs150,000 for the return ticket and entry fees of the tournament. That is why I request the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Pervez Khattak, Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and political agent to sponsor me otherwise I am sure, I will miss the event,” Mohmand maintained.
