PESHAWAR: Prime Minister Imran Khan has assured the senators from the tribal districts to complete the merger process with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in letter and spirit.

The senators from the tribal districts called on Imran Khan at the Prime Minister Office on Friday. During the meeting, overall situation in tribal districts, Fata-KP merger and administrative affairs came under discussion.

The prime minister said the federal government would help the KP government for providing health, education, housing and other facilities in the tribal districts. He said an effective local government system will also be introduced in the tribal districts to transfer the powers to grassroots level.

He said the tribal districts will get all the facilities which are enjoyed by the people of other areas. He said the resources of the tribal region will be spent on its people.

The senators thanked the prime minister for his keen interest in development of the tribal districts.

Meanwhile, Imran Khan said the government will construct a cancer hospital in Quetta in collaboration with Pakistan Army.

Talking to a group of students from Balochistan, the PM said an effective local government system will also be introduced in Balochistan.
