Fata Political Alliance protest delay in reforms implementation

PESHAWAR, 23 May: The All Fata Political Parties Alliance on Tuesday staged a protest demonstration against federal government’s decision to delay the much-awaited Fata reforms for an indefinite period.
The score of Fata Alliance members led by PTI Khyber Agency chapter president Iqbal Afridi, gathered outside Peshawar press club and said that delay in Fata reforms bill would not be tolerated at any cost. They demanded of the federal government to immediately merge the tribal areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The protesters said that the protest demonstration is against the federal government as well as against JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, PkMAP chief Mahmood Khan Achakzai, and Fata parliamentarians who opposed the Fata reforms process.
Meanwhile, in Jamrud, Khyber Agency, the score of tribal people took out a protest rally against the National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq for using abusive language against Fata parliamentary leader Alhaj Shahji Gul Afridi who raised voice against the delay in Fata reforms bill. The NA Speaker had warned MNA Shahji Gul Afridi to keep quite otherwise; he would be thrown out of the Assembly. The protesters said that Ayaz Sadiq behavior with Fata MNA is an insult of the whole tribal areas. The protesters demanded an apology from NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.
