KHAR, 05 July: All Fata Students Forum on Wednesday held a protest rally in Bajaur against the Frontier Crimes Regulation (FCR) law and demanded immediate implementation of reforms in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
A large number of students, civil society members, political workers and people from all walks of life participated in the protest rally to press the government for implementation of Fata reforms.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of All Fata Students Forum, Farhad Ali termed the incumbent federal government as the biggest hurdle in repealing the FCR black law. He alleged that other political parties are also not sincere in Fata reforms and only using tribal people as their political stunt.
The protesters demanded of the government to immediately implement Fata reforms and allocate seats for tribal areas in the provincial assembly in 2018 general elections.
On the occasion, Fata students also announced schedule of rallies for Fata reforms. According to schedule, on July 7, protest rally would be held in Kurram Agency, on July 10, protest rally would be held in Mohmand Agency and on July 12, rally would be held in Khyber Agency.
The protesters also warned that if government failed to implement Fata reforms, they would stage sit-in in front of Parliament House in Islamabad in August until fulfillment of demands.
