WANA, 11 October: At least four thousands displaced families repatriated to South Waziristan Agency (SWA) in March are yet to get Rs 35000 compensation each from Fata Disaster Managment Authority(FDMA), said Moulana Jamaluddin Member of National Assembly from the tribal agency on Sunday.
According to FDMA each repatriated family to FATA is entitled to get Rs 25000 for meeting their basic needs and Rs 10000 for transportation cost.
Talking to TNN Moulana Jamaluddin who is also chairman of National Assembly Standing Committee on Safron said that he and Senator Salih Shah had shared the details of those families deprived of financial assistance, with FDMA, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Army Chief General Raheel Sharif and Federal Minister for Safron Abdul Qair Baloch. He urged the concerned authorities, political and military leadership to arrange financial compensation for 4000 families who voluntarily returned to South Waziristan, at the earliest.
Around 80000 families were displaced by military operation “Rah-e-Nijat” started against militant in SWA in 2009.
