PESHAWAR, November 22: An official of the Pakistan Air Force has died when an aircraft crashed in Karachi, Sindh province.

According to a spokesman for the Pakistan Army, Squadron Leader Mr Tanvir Ahmed died when the Miraj Aircraft crashed during routine training in Gadap Town due to a technical fault.

Local residents say the aircraft caught fire before going down. The Air Headquarters has ordered an inquiry into the incident.
