WANA: In absence of police, assistant commissioner Wana registered the first ever FIR in history of South Waziristan after merger of erstwhile Fata with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The FIR was registered against Pashtun Tahaffuz Movement (PTM) chief Manzoor Pashteen’s uncle Sardar Arif Wazir, and nine others for obstructing government work and to harming law and order in Wana bazaar.

Member National Assembly Ali Wazir said that the administration was targeting his family for raising voice against their injustices. “People are booked for demanding illegal ‘taxes’,” he said. FIRs have been registered against people in Bajaur and Mohmand.
