bus fell in to the ravine

MANSEHRA/TORGHAR, June 7: Five people died in a road accident in Mansehra district, while a woman and three children drowned in a river in Torghar district.

The police say a passenger bus was travelling from Rawalpindi to Gilgit when the driver lost over the steering in Gandia area and it fell into a ravine, leaving five people dead and 35 others injured. The injured were taken to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital, Mansehra.

In separate incident, a woman along with her three granddaughters drowned in a river in Torghar. TNN correspondent say they were waiting for a boat on the banks of the river in Mudikhel area when they fell into water due to landsliding. Local people rushed to the scene and recovered the bodies from the river.
