PESHAWAR, 12 October: Five people, including two British security personnel, were killed when a NATO helicopter crashed in Afghanistan’s capital Kabul on Sunday.
The UK Defence Ministry spokesman said the incident happened when the helicopter was landing at the headquarters of NATO Resolute Support Mission. He said the incident was the outcome of a technical fault and no militant activity was involved in the matter.
NATO officials have not provided any details about the identity of other slain personnel. Five people were also reportedly injured in the incident. They said the incident is under investigation.
The incident happened a day after Taliban militants injured seven people in an attack on the British military convoy.
