MIRANSHAH/BARA, 18 December: The security forces on Friday claimed killing 29 militants in air strikes by the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) fighter jets in North Waziristan and Khyber tribal agencies.
Security sources said the fighter jets carried out air strikes on the militants’ hideouts in Shawal area of North Waziristan in the afternoon. They claimed that 23 militants were killed in the air strikes in Shawal.
Earlier, the fighter jets carried out air strikes in Kando Gharbi and Rajgal areas in Tirah valley of Khyber Agency in which six militants were killed and some others sustained injuries. The slain militants were affiliated with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and Lashkar-e-Islam.
