PESHAWAR, 13 July: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested a former tehsildar along with his two associates over allegations of fraud in the land transfer of the Workers Welfare Board (WWB).
The NAB said in a statement that former tehsildar Masood Shah caused loss of Rs50 million to the national exchequer by doing fraud in the transfer of 500 kanals land of the WWB. It said Masood Shah and his two accomplices, Maaz Khan and Maroz, were arrested from Peshawar on Tuesday.
Three other suspects, Ilyas, Idrees and Raza Shah, have already been arrested in the case. Rs10 million have also been retrieved from the suspects so far.
