LAKKI MARWAT, 6 November: The Wildlife department on Friday seized four falcons and foiled a bid to smuggle these endangered species.

The person who was allegedly carrying these rare birds has also been taken into custody.

District Forest Officer, Khan Malook Marwat told media men that these birds were kept in wooden boxes and were being smuggled from Peshawar to Karachi via a bus.

The Wildlife department officials told that the seized birds belonged to the endangered species and there was an international ban on its hunting.

It merits a mention here that the Wildlife department had seized eight falcons last week which were later let free.
