QUETTA, 1 November: At least four people were killed and 10 others injured on Sunday when an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) hit Rawalpindi bound train in Dasht area of Balochistan’s Mastung district.
The Levis sources said that Jafar Express was going to Rawalpindi from Quetta when it was targetted with an IED blast planted on the railway track. They said that four passengers were killed and 10 others got wounded who had been shifted to Civil Hospital Quetta where doctors said that three of them were in critical condition.
They said that the blast damaged the track and one bogie of the train. An official of Bomb Disposal Squad said that 8 kilograms of explosives were used in the explosion.
Later on the train service between Quetta and other parts of the country was restored, the sources said.
